Please note you may attend the whole day or just the morning Level 1 Sex and Relationships session or the afternoon C-card session. If you wish to attend the morning or afternoon only you must state this when filling in the request form
Aimed at
It is essential that workers attend level 1 Sex and Relationships before becoming C-card trained as this forms an important foundation for those wishing to undertake C-card training. This one day course is aimed at workers who want to run Bristol’s C-card scheme in their own organisation and who have not already attended Level 1 Sex and Relationships. It is also recommended that workers attend the Level 2 course Facts and Values in Sexual Health before joining the C-card scheme.
Aims
To prepare workers to run the C-card scheme in their own organisation (the scheme aims to make free condoms more widely available).
Learning Outcomes
• Explore your role in contributing to young people’s sexual health
• The law relating to confidentiality and under 16s
• Local sexual health services and how to access them
• Receive an introduction and background to the C-card scheme
• Look at the practical issues involved in providing condoms to young people, including those under 16
• Receive an introduction and background to the C-card scheme
• Practice ‘the conversation’ (the C-card registration process)
• Become familiar with the monitoring and administration of the scheme

Please complete the form below at least 3 weeks before the date you have chosen. You will receive a letter 2 weeks before the course confirming your place & providing details of the venue. You can use the same form to apply for more than one course at a time but please ensure you include the title AND date of all the courses you wish to attend. These courses are free but if you cannot attend, you must let us know by 9a.m. on the day before the course or you will be charged £50 for full-day courses and £25 for half-day courses.
