Working with Young People with Learning Difficulties and Sexual Health

Aimed at
This course is aimed at those who are currently involved in, or are planning to develop, sex and relationships work with groups of young people with learning difficulties. Participants may benefit from attending Level 1 Sex and Relationships but this is not a pre-course requirement.

Aims
To explore the sexual health and relationships education needs of young people with learning difficulties and to view
and investigate a range of resources available to help meet these needs.

Learning Outcomes
• To explore the sexual health and relationships needs of young people with learning difficulties and how these needs might be best met
• To consider some aspects of the law relating to sexual health
and young people with learning difficulties
• To look at some key resources for sexual health and relationships education for young people with learning difficulties
• To practice the skills needed to work with young people and
learning difficulties

Please complete the form below at least 3 weeks before the date you have chosen. You will receive a letter 2 weeks before the course confirming your place & providing details of the venue. You can use the same form to apply for more than one course at a time but please ensure you include the title AND date of all the courses you wish to attend. These courses are free but if you cannot attend, you must let us know by 9a.m. on the day before the course or you will be charged £50 for full-day courses and £25 for half-day courses.
