Level 2: Impact of the Internet on Sex and Relationship
Aimed at
This course is aimed at practitioners working with young people who have attended level 1 sex and relationships and who wish to extend their knowledge regarding the influence of the internet and mobile technology on young people’s
relationships and sexual health.
Aims
To raise awareness of the issues associated with young people’s use of the internet such as online grooming, sexting and pornography and the legal framework around this. The course also equips workers with the knowledge and skills to proactively address these issues with young people.

Learning Outcomes
• Identify ways young people can protect their identities online and minimise the risk of becoming a victim of grooming
• Examine the work of the Child Exploitation Online Protection Centre
• To understand the legal implications of sexting, pornography
and grooming
• Identify the messages young people receive about sex and
relationships from pornography and the impact of these
• Acquire practical tools to support young people around issues
associated with the internet

These courses are free but if you cannot attend, you must let us know by 9a.m. on the day before the course or you will be charged £50 for full-day courses and £25 for half-day courses.
