*NEW* HIV Awareness Training

Level 2 HIV Awareness Training delivered by Terrence Higgins Trust

Aimed at:
The course is designed for any worker who works with young people aged 13 and above – for example, secondary school teachers, youth and play workers, Connexions workers, school nurses, members of YOT, youth inclusion workers and housing support workers.

Aims:
This course will enable practitioners working with young people to gain a basic awareness of HIV and to feel more confident to discuss the issue and answer any queries young people may have

Learning Outcomes:
· To examine what HIV is
· Routes of transmission and reducing risk
· HIV treatment
· Living with HIV and stigma
· Activities and resources to use with young people

Please complete the form below at least 3 weeks before the date you have chosen. You will receive a letter 2 weeks before the course confirming your place & providing details of the venue. You can use the same form to apply for more than one course at a time but please ensure you include the title AND date of all the courses you wish to attend. These courses are free but if you cannot attend, you must let us know by 9a.m. on the day before the course or you will be charged £50 for full-day courses and £25 for half-day courses.
