4YP Receptionists’ and Pharmacy Counter Staff Training: Delivered by Loudmouth: Education and Training through Theatre

Aimed at:
GP reception staff and pharmacy counter staff

Aims:
This short and fast moving training helps GP surgeries and pharmacies to listen to young people’s views and develop ways to make their services truly young people friendly. The training is used to help staff develop their practice and further understanding of the new young people friendly toolkit based on the ‘You’re Welcome’ criteria as well as the 4YP quality criteria. The focus is on how services can implement the criteria using simple ideas young people value.

Learning outcomes:
•Acknowledge the impact that sexually transmitted infections can have on young people and the importance of chlamydia screening
•Gain simple and practical ideas for receptionists to ensure they are working effectively with young people
•Gain simple, practical ideas that receptionists can use to let young people know of chlamydia screening programmes or promotions
•Help to identify and suggest ways to improve the service for young people at their own surgery

Please complete the form below at least 3 weeks before the date you have chosen. You will receive a letter 2 weeks before the course confirming your place & providing details of the venue. You can use the same form to apply for more than one course at a time but please ensure you include the title AND date of all the courses you wish to attend. These courses are free but if you cannot attend, you must let us know by 9a.m. on the day before the course or you will be charged £50 for full-day courses and £25 for half-day courses.
