Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are very common. They are passed on through vaginal, anal and oral sex with someone who has an infection. If you have had sex, without a condom, and think you may have picked up a STI, it is important to get it treated, even if you have no symptoms. STIs can damage your health and may affect your ability to have children in future. Most STIs are easily treated.
