Many local doctors’ surgeries are participating in the 4YP scheme which means you can go to them for any concerns about sex and contraception, and you can be sure that you will be treated with respect and that they won’t pass on anything you have told them.

The local doctors’ surgeries that are participating in the 4YP scheme are listed below. You can ask for a 4YP appointment at any participating surgery, but try your own surgery first. You will be asked to complete a card and then a nurse will see you. The nurse might be able to help you or will arrange for you to see the doctor.

Even if your doctor's surgery is not 4YP, it will offer a wide range of sexual health services including contraceptive advice and supplies, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy testing and advice.
