Bristol’s Multi-disciplinary Sex & Relationships and Substance Misuse Training Programme

We offer a number of training courses for those working with young people in Bristol. The courses aim to increase workers’ confidence and skills to respond appropriately to young people’s queries, refer them to appropriate sources of support and advice and to carry out effective sex and relationships and substance misuse work. All the courses are free of charge and are facilitated by members of a multi-agency sex and relationships and substance misuse trainers’ network.

Our current courses are listed below. To find out more about each course and to apply online just click on the course you are interested in. You can also contact us via email or phone if you have any queries about any of our courses (4yptraining@bristol.nhs.uk or 0117 900 2289). Please ensure you reserve any dates you request in your diary to prevent double booking e.g. meetings. You must have your manager’s approval to attend and will be allocated a place on a first come first serve basis. Unless otherwise contacted, your place will be confirmed and an official confirmation email and letter will be sent out 2-3 weeks prior to the course

Our training programme is delivered in partnership with Healthy Schools and Opening Doors.

What if I can’t attend?
These courses are free but if you find you cannot attend, you must let us know before 9 am on the day before the course or you will be charged £50 for full- day course and £25 for half-day course. Please email 4yptraining@bristol.nhs.uk or call 0117 900 2289.

What if I don’t work in Bristol?
If you work outside Bristol you can still apply for some of our courses. But please be aware that we will charge £25 for a half day and £50 for a full day course and if the course is oversubscribed we will give priority to professionals working in the Bristol area.
