SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS REACH ALMOST HALF A MILLION
YOUNG WOMEN MOST AT RISK

New figures released today by the Health Protection Agency show that 15 to 24 year olds, particularly young women, continue to be the group most affected by sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the UK.

In Bristol we offer STI testing and treatment to under 25s and you can find your nearest clinic here.

If you are sexually active you need to get tested once a year or after every sexual partner and remember that chlamydia effects 1 in 12 under 25s and you can pick up free tests for this infection at most pharmacists, doctor’s surgeries and clinics.

Condoms and dental dams are the only things that will help you protect against the spread of infection so get yours for free at our clinics or through the C-Card scheme.
